About Pickle Jar Candle Co.

In Spring 2020, a mix of quarantine cabin fever and creativity inspired us to begin creating homemade candles using second hand containers, all natural waxes, and non-toxic ingredients. Pickle Jar Candle Co. was founded on the premise that beautiful, locally made home goods should be sustainable and safe for you.

Why use soy wax?

Soy wax is better for your health and home. It burns up to 90% cleaner than paraffin wax and creates less soot. Soy is a renewable resource that is vegan, sustainable, and grown in the USA. All Pickle Jar Candle Co. candles use American soy wax from CandleScience and Bramble Berry.

Why use second hand containers?

Americans produce over 4 pounds of waste per day, more than any other country in the world. We believe that hobbies and home goods should not add unnecessary waste to landfills. All Pickle Jar Candle Co. containers are glass or ceramic jars, cups, mugs, and votives that are recycled, upcycled, or second hand. And yes, some are even made from pickle jars.
